Program Description: ‘MayDay Goes Green
Project’
In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre (HOBT) is
a professional puppet and mask theater that was founded in 1973 by a small
group of community artists and it has grown into one of the most highly
regarded puppet theaters in the country. MayDay
celebrates its 36th anniversary in 2010. Held on the first Sunday in May, this
artistic celebration of spring draws an audience of 50,000 people. The non-motorized parade follows a mile-long
